CSC Valley Calendar for 2020 is Pending. The below calendar was posted pre-covid. I left the calendar, as we will be going on similar trips as places start opening up. A new updated Valley Camp Calendar will be posted shortly.

Coach’s Sports Camp – Valley (CSC) is back for another exciting summer 2020!!!

CSC-Valley is for boys entering grades 4th through completing 8th graders. It promises to be a fun, interactive, and stimulating camp experience. It is indeed a challenging (as the return parents know) sports camp that encourages technique, skills, and most importantly, strong sportsmanship and middos. A Torah environment that shows that sports and Yiddishkeit can go hand-in-hand. 
Events to expect: CSC programs consists of individual and team sports, sports clinics, Maccabiah game competitions, daily trips, Late-night for older DIV,  swimming and a variety of special events.
CAMP DATES for 2020 (subject to change):
Session I: June 29 – July 17
Session II: July 20 – August 7

Friday, 9:10 AM – 2:30PM

CSC is for boys entering grades Pre-1 – 8th. It promises to be a fun, interactive, and stimulating camp experience. It is indeed a challenging (as the return parents know) sports camp that encourages technique, skills, and most importantly, strong sportsmanship and middos. A Torah environment that shows that sports and Yiddishkeit can go hand-in-hand. CSC staff members are hand-picked from local Yeshiva High Schools , who are the future leaders in our communities and understand the importance of leading by example.

Events to expect: CSC programs consists of individual and team sports, sports clinics, Maccabiah game competitions, Davening/Learning, Mensch & Athlete Awards, weekly trips, Overnight/Latenight for older DIV, guest speakers, swimming and a variety of special events.

Session I: June 23 – July 17

Monday thru Thursday, 9:10 AM – 3:30 PM
Friday, 9:10 AM – 2:30PM
 
LOCATION:
 
Our home-base is Yeshiva Gedolah of LA , where pick-up and drop-off is scheduled to be. In addition, we will be davening & learning at the Yeshiva along with playing fun tournaments, games, and of course lots of shteiging (especially for our NEW MORNING CSC KOLLEL PROGRAM FOR 6TH-8TH!!!)
 
We will be playing sports out of Poinsettia Recreation Center. We are very fortunate and privileged to have this facility. Poinsettia Park is approximately 160,000 SQ FT, packed with 8 tennis/paddle courts, handball courts, 2 baseball diamonds, grass field for open play, recreation room (for assemblies, davening, and learning), and an indoor basketball gym.
 
PRICE: ONLY THING DUE UPON REGISTRATION IS $195 (FAMILY REGISTRATION FEE PER FAMILY) CAMP FEES ARE DUE BY JUNE 1.
Weekly rates are available. $385/wk
Early-Bird: $1150/session
CSC Regular Session: $1250/session. [see online discounts for siblings at checkout] ($100 off per session per sibling etc.)

There is a registration fee of $195 (non-refundable) per family in order to save your child’s spot. Registration fees are not applied to the cost of the camp and must be filled for any camper registering for 2 or more weeks.
 
DAVENING & LEARNING:
CSC is excited to announce that our learning Rebbe this summer will be none other than Rabbi Zheutlin. In addition to our regular daily Davening as well as an amazing learning program for the boys, Rabbi Zheutlin will be leading a separate CSC Morning Kollel Program for boys 6th-8th! Davening for those who can participate in CSC Kollel minyan will begin at 8am followed by breakfast and learning (if you cannot make it to 8am Shacharis, there will be time set aside for older boys to Daven). Boys P1-5th will daven at camp together with their groups)
 
SPORTS PROGRAMS:
CSC’s unique sports program is catered to the individual on his level, teaching the fundamentals of basketball, baseball, flag football, soccer, tennis, track and field, and much more. Camp offers extensive sports clinics, athletic drills, and a variety of tournaments.
 
ACTIVITIES / MONDAYS & THRUSDAYS TRIPS:
In addition to sports, we will have fun doing group activities such as a BBQ, Arts n’ Crafts, Karate Lessons, Maccabiah Games, Capture the Flag, Dodge Ball, Frisbee, Color War & Water Fights, Beach Day, Batting Cages, and many exciting trips. And just when you thought CSC had it all, we also have an amazing overnight trip for the older division (usually 6th-8th, depending on number of sign-ups). HOW EXCITING!!!
 
SWIMMING:
Swimming days are Wednesdays at the beautiful Jewish Community JEM Center in Beverly Hills. Indoor and heated swimming pool.
 
SPECIAL FRIDAYS:
Camp assemblies will consist of individual awards recognizing excellent athletic skills, team players, and various individual accomplishments such as ‘athlete of the week’ and ‘mensch award.’ In addition, we will hold our weekly raffle with lots of fun prizes. We will also discuss topics of importance such as nutrition, exercise, and teamwork etc. As usual, our special Fridays may include guest speakers and activities such as sports agent/coaches, PT trainer with a pHD in sports medicine, magician, art workshop etc. Lastly, we will include chugim aka special electives, such as Torah Club, Chess Club, Sports Club etc.
 
Typical Day @ CSC (Mon & Thur=Trip Days ; Tues and Wed = Sports Park Day; Fridays =Electives):
-8AM kollel (1st session ONLY) davening program for boys entering 6th-8th and who can make it to davening. Parents can also choose to drop off their kids at 9:10am. All other campers P1 through 5th will daven with their groups at camp.
– 9:10AM, Drop off; recreational games include chess/checkers, connect-4, ping pong, board games, and of course CSC favorite golf and other carrom games
– 9:15-11:00, Davening & Learning; Groups rotate according to their time slots.
– 11:00-3:00, Poinsettia Park sporting activities, tennis, ice-water, lunch, snacks, relays etc. ~OR~ field-trips such as laser-tag, adventure-plex, bowling etc.
– 3:25-3:35, pick-up begins at our home base Yeshiva Gedolah (recreational games include chess and checkers, ping-pong, board games etc). Parents are subject to pay for late pickup after 3:40PM.
